Since 1 July 2024, engineered stone bench replacement is regulated under the national silica ban. Cutting and installing new engineered stone is restricted, which makes repair the only quick path for most kitchens.

- Can Caesarstone really be repaired without replacing it?
- Yes, in almost every case. Caesarstone and other engineered stone chip and crack at the edges and around the sink, and we repair that in place: colour-matched resin worked into the damage, cured, then polished back flush. Since the July 2024 silica ban restricts new engineered-stone fabrication, replacing a whole benchtop is no longer simple, so repairing the one you have is usually the sensible move.
- How long does a stone benchtop repair last?
- A good stone repair sets hard and stays put. The colour-matched resin bonds into the stone and is polished flush, so it does not lift or pop out in normal kitchen use. A sound repair usually lasts the life of the benchtop. Hit the exact same spot hard enough and it can chip again, like any stone.
