Stone benchtop repair
Caesarstone chips, granite cracks, marble scratches.
A chipped Caesarstone benchtop almost never needs replacing. Send us a photo and we'll come back with a quote.
What we repair
- Sink-lip chips (the most common Caesarstone fail mode)
- Hairline cracks at cooktop cutouts (heat shock)
- Acid etch and stain rings (lemon, oil, wine, coffee)
- Caesarstone, Smartstone, Quantum Quartz, marble, granite
- Burn marks and heat scorching
Watch a repair

How the job runs

Photo and quote
You send 2 to 3 photos: a wide shot of the bench, a close-up of the damage, and one with a coin or finger for scale. We reply with a fixed quote within 24 hours.
- 02
Site visit
Technician arrives, confirms the stone type, and checks the chip depth and edge profile. If the damage is different from the photos (a deeper void, or secondary cracks), the technician tells you before any work starts.
- 03
Repair
Most sink-lip and edge chips: 60 to 90 minutes onsite. We colour-match the resin to the stone, fill the void in feathered passes, then hand-polish to match the surrounding finish.

Cure and done
Stone repairs cure within 2 hours under normal kitchen conditions. We send aftercare instructions (avoid acidic spills directly on the repair for 24 hours) and a reminder when the cure window closes.

Repair or replace?
We do not push a repair when a replacement is the right call. Here is how Ben reads it before quoting.
Repair makes sense when
- Chips on the edge, sink lip, or cooktop cutout
- Hairline cracks that have not spread across the slab
- Etch marks, stain rings, or burn marks on the surface
- A single damaged spot on a benchtop you otherwise like
Replacement is the honest call when
- A crack runs the full width and the slab has shifted
- The stone is delaminating from the substrate
- You are changing the kitchen layout and the bench has to move
Not sure which one you have? Send a photo. If it cannot be repaired, we will tell you, and point you to the right trade.
